HIGH PRESSURE REGULATOR

HIGH PRESSURE REGULATOR
The Model 1000HP is the most versatile, self contained high pressure
regulator available today. Its unique internal design and straight
through flow path isolate the diaphragm from fluid velocity effects and
increase capacity and stability at both high or low flow rates. Flow to
open design and extended guiding allow high pressure drops to 650 psid.
It can be used in severe service and cryogenic applications that normal
pressure reducing regulators cannot handle. Four body materials and
fourteen trim material selections provide compatibility with many
fluids—including saturated and superheated steam, industrial gases,
fuel oils, compressed air, sour gas, chemical, and other process fluid
services.

The design takes advantage of all the features of the basic 1000HP
reducing high pressure regulator. The availability of optional
construction and body and trim materials is limited to those indicated
herein. The straight-thru flow path inherent in the 1000HP design
allows for higher capacity. The streamlined path also reduces wear and
maintenance for the flashing or cavitating conditions frequently
associated with cryogenic service.

A special variation of the basic Model 1000HP high pressure reducing
regulator enables the Model 1000HP-SF to contain high inlet pressures
up to 2600 psig (179.3 Barg) SWP, while controlling downstream
pressures between 100 and 300 psig (6.9 and 20.7 Barg). Available in
sizes 1/2", 3/4" and 1" (DN10, 20 and 25) with NPT connections. It is
primarily used as a high pressure regulator for saturated steam
systems.
The Model 345 is a piston style, heavy duty, high pressure regulator
that reduces pressure and can include balanced trim with a TFE or nylon
seat for controlling downstream pressure between 50 and 3000 psig (3.4
and 207 Barg), with inlet pressures up to 4000 psig (275 Barg). The
metal seated version is an unbalanced trim design. Where trim wear is
expected, metal seating surfaces may be stellited. Sizes 1/2", 3/4" and
1" (DN15, 20, and 25). Available options include flanged end
connections.

Always sense pressure where you want to control it. Many control valves
and high pressure regulators do not function properly simply because
they are sensing pressure at one point a nd being asked to control it
somewhere else.
