INDUSTRIAL LCD MONITOR

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. Liquid Crystal Displays that are used for industrial purpose are often rugged monitors that can withstand the wear and tear of the industrial use. Mostly, industrial LCD monitors will be used with industrial computers as a computer peripheral. Besides that Industrial LCD monitors are also used as independent display units for displaying video images that are received from various sources such as surveillance cameras. These days LCD displays are preferred over CRT monitors because Industrial LCD monitors occupy less space when compared to CRT monitors. Moreover, the power consumption of LCD monitors is much lower than the traditional CRT monitors which were once used for industrial purposes. By using an LCD monitor you can save from 80% to 90% of the space that would be used by a CRT monitor and at least 50% on the electricity bills. Moreover, LCD monitors cause less damage to the eyes even when we watch video images for long hours.

The only difference between the ordinary LCD monitor and the industrial LCD monitor is the external casing. The industrial LCD monitor comes with a rugged or tough casing for increased durability. They often come in steel or aluminum frame so that it can be fixed easily on an equipment rack.
