| Welcome, | index ap news archive feedback Last update: June 21, 2005 at 10:18 AM Rescuers suspend search for Minneapolis man missing in BWCA Associated Press June 21, 2005 BWCA0622 ELY, Minn. -— The St. Louis County sheriff's volunteer rescue squad today suspended the ground search for a Minneapolis man missing in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The U.S. Forest Service will continue a limited ground search for Lloyd Skelton and will search by air when going over the area. Skelton is an experienced hiker and mountain climber. He left early this month for a solo kayak trip to the BWCAW. A U.S. Forest Service employee found Skelton's vehicle — loaded with his kayak and camping gear — at the Angleworm Lake entry point. Skelton's clothing and wallet were found over the weekend, between Angleworm and Whisky Jack lakes off the Echo
